:-D

This is the only friday this year where the interrogation room will stay empty. I have interviews but I have not informed any of my suspects they will be arraigned today.

So instead I have decided to tell you a few interesting things and then let you all grill me instead.
  1. Nancy N.R Williams book is out "The treasures of Carmelidrium" I've got a feeling about this book and cant wait to bring her to the interrogation room.
  2. I think Nicole MacDonald's book "The Arrival" is out too (someone correct me if I'm wrong)
  3. I also did some pretty bold things in 2010 regarding the interrogation room that still has me grinning (one of them involves Elana Johnson)
  4.  Lastly I got the owner of a new small press to come into the interrogation room; its called Astraea Press and they put a new spin on their books - no erotica! you'll have to visit their website to find out more. Do you have any questions you would like me to ask? you know, the kind that is never on the FAQ page?
So there you have it, what questions would you like to ask me and what questions would you like to ask Astraea Press - feel free not to ask me any questions and put the heat on Astraea Press instead :-D

xoxo
Joanna

  1. Oh, come on Joanna, you're not afraid of the "Hot" seat are you?

I'll have to think of something juicy to ask you later.

What genre does Astraea Press primarily accept? Inquiring minds want to know...

  4. Hi Joanna
I had a rather sleepless night last night so I'm not up to any intelligent questions this evening I'm afraid. Lovely to see you back, though.
Have your checked out my pulse racer, yet BTW?

  5. Wow, look at you, Joanna, you have a whole publisher coming to your blog. How cool is that?! I have a question for you? Can I be in your Interrogation Room when my book comes out? It’s set to be released in February (I don’t know the exact date) and I should be getting a few copies for giveaways.

  7. Thanks for the shout out Joanna.

I would like to know from Astrea Press what form of publishing they are considering? Traditional hard/paperback copies, e-books or audio books? One or all three?

    I'm afraid I don't have any incredibly intelligent questions, though . . .

  9. I concur re: Astrea's design. I love it. It makes me happy, subtle corals and texture along with curly q's! Also, cool about the interrogationating of the pub!

  11. Hello, Joanna, pleasure meeting you. I have a hot-seat question for Astraea Press: how do they intend to market their ebooks and their writers? Granted that marketing budgets are endangered species throughout publishing, but do they have a plan for overcoming that ongoing problem and assisting their writers' sales figures?

  17. It's great about N R Williams. I have a post up today about her tour and will be hosting her regarding the elements in her book - suspense, romance etc on the 27th Jan!

Looking forward to the Interrogation Room when it's up and running again Joanna. Good for you getting Astraer Press on board. You certainly have a way about you.

Congrats to all the other authors getting their work in print. Starting next Wednesday I'll be hosting some beloved authors as they tell us how they did it!! How they pushed down the door into the published world!

  19. Hi, Joanna. What great links to follow! I'm aware already of Nancy Williams' new book. I'm anxious to read it.

I just followed the link to Astrea Press. It answers the questions several bloggers above ask. I'm very excited about this "clean" publisher!

I think this is going to be a great year for us bloggers. I think this is the best "community of friends" I've ever found. Beats the old fashioned "pen pals" of my day. That was when you had to connect to others via snail mail. Isn't technology awesome?!

  20. Glad you are back. I think the news you shared is wonderful!

Astrea Press sounds great. I would love to know what inspired them to put the ROMANCE back into romance stories? EVERYTHING lately seems to be all about sex - I think there is something to be said for someone who can convey emotion and a well told love story without it. Kudos to them for doing it!! What is their inspiration and motivation behind it?

Don't get me wrong I love erotica too, but I am looking forward to seeing what Astrea Press comes out with.

  23. Stopping by to let you know that I gave you an award. It was last Friday (Sorry I didn't let you know earlier) so you'll have to go back a few posts (should be on the first page though).
