So instead I have decided to tell you a few interesting things and then let you all grill me instead.
NancyN.R Williams book is out "The treasures of Carmelidrium" I've got a feeling about this book and cant wait to bring her to the interrogation room.- I think Nicole MacDonald's book "The Arrival" is out too (someone correct me if I'm wrong)
- I also did some pretty bold things in 2010 regarding the interrogation room that still has me grinning (one of them involves Elana Johnson)
- Lastly I got the owner of a new small press to come into the interrogation room; its called Astraea Press and they put a new spin on their books - no erotica! you'll have to visit their website to find out more. Do you have any questions you would like me to ask? you know, the kind that is never on the FAQ page?
xoxo
Joanna
Oh, come on Joanna, you're not afraid of the "Hot" seat are you?
ReplyDeleteI'll have to think of something juicy to ask you later.
What genre does Astraea Press primarily accept? Inquiring minds want to know...
Michael
I think you deserve a little break. Have a great weekend.
ReplyDeleteI checked out the link, and I have to say that the Astraea press website is beautiful.
ReplyDeleteHmmm Joanna. You had your deserved break so I can't let you off easy ;). I'll go light girl. Alpha, beta or both?
Hi Joanna
ReplyDeleteI had a rather sleepless night last night so I'm not up to any intelligent questions this evening I'm afraid. Lovely to see you back, though.
Have your checked out my pulse racer, yet BTW?

Wow, look at you, Joanna, you have a whole publisher coming to your blog. How cool is that?! I have a question for you? Can I be in your Interrogation Room when my book comes out? It’s set to be released in February (I don’t know the exact date) and I should be getting a few copies for giveaways.
ReplyDeleteInteresting! Looking forward to reading more.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the shout out Joanna.
ReplyDeleteI would like to know from Astrea Press what form of publishing they are considering? Traditional hard/paperback copies, e-books or audio books? One or all three?
Nancy
N. R. Williams, fantasy author
Thanks for the links! And wow, a publisher! That's awesome!
ReplyDeleteI'm afraid I don't have any incredibly intelligent questions, though . . .
I concur re: Astrea's design. I love it. It makes me happy, subtle corals and texture along with curly q's! Also, cool about the interrogationating of the pub!
ReplyDeleteha ha u all make me laugh so much.
ReplyDelete@ Rula - for me I love a good Alpha male, betas are great friends for girls like me
@ Angelina - of course my lovely I am saving a space for you. all of my new authors/followers have a guaranteed spot on my blog
Hello, Joanna, pleasure meeting you. I have a hot-seat question for Astraea Press: how do they intend to market their ebooks and their writers? Granted that marketing budgets are endangered species throughout publishing, but do they have a plan for overcoming that ongoing problem and assisting their writers' sales figures?

Hi Joanna,
ReplyDeleteGreat stuff here!
Wish you a happy weekend.
Hi Joanna,
ReplyDeleteThanks for the link. Great to have you back!
Thanks Joanna for sharing info about Astraea Press - I'll definitely query my historical romance, as soon as I can get all my editing done.
ReplyDeleteAlso, I've got a question for you :-) Which prize would you like? You've just won my contest!
Yay to NR Willaims and Nicole MacDonald's books!! Good luck to them!!!
ReplyDeleteI must follow this interrogation room - it sounds scarily fun!!
Take care
x
Looks good! Can't wait to see what you have up your sleeves!
ReplyDeleteIt's great about N R Williams. I have a post up today about her tour and will be hosting her regarding the elements in her book - suspense, romance etc on the 27th Jan!
ReplyDeleteLooking forward to the Interrogation Room when it's up and running again Joanna. Good for you getting Astraer Press on board. You certainly have a way about you.
Congrats to all the other authors getting their work in print. Starting next Wednesday I'll be hosting some beloved authors as they tell us how they did it!! How they pushed down the door into the published world!
I haven't yet said, "Yay! Glad you're back or Happy New Year!" Sorry so late!!! Christy
ReplyDeleteHi, Joanna. What great links to follow! I'm aware already of Nancy Williams' new book. I'm anxious to read it.
ReplyDeleteI just followed the link to Astrea Press. It answers the questions several bloggers above ask. I'm very excited about this "clean" publisher!
I think this is going to be a great year for us bloggers. I think this is the best "community of friends" I've ever found. Beats the old fashioned "pen pals" of my day. That was when you had to connect to others via snail mail. Isn't technology awesome?!
Glad you are back. I think the news you shared is wonderful!
ReplyDeleteAstrea Press sounds great. I would love to know what inspired them to put the ROMANCE back into romance stories? EVERYTHING lately seems to be all about sex - I think there is something to be said for someone who can convey emotion and a well told love story without it. Kudos to them for doing it!! What is their inspiration and motivation behind it?
Don't get me wrong I love erotica too, but I am looking forward to seeing what Astrea Press comes out with.
No questions, just lots of good wishes for the New Year, both for your writing and for the Interrogation Room.
ReplyDeleteThe interrogation room is going from strength to strength! Can't wait to see what (who!) it holds in 2011.
ReplyDeleteStopping by to let you know that I gave you an award. It was last Friday (Sorry I didn't let you know earlier) so you'll have to go back a few posts (should be on the first page though).
