Tuesday News and Book Giveaway

Okay I know I said my schedule would be Monday Wednesday Friday for NaNoWriMo but am an addict, sue me!
Remember when we talked about the Public Lending Rights well you will be pleased to know that the budget cut has been made and it is not as bad as was feared it was cut by 15% over 4 years as opposed to 30% for the Arts Council (these are the guys who have loads of Writer in Residence progs).
My NaNo mood: NaNo sucks! why? I just realized I am a pen and paper writer I can't tell you what my word count and I cannot win a prize at eHarlequin because of that, they are giving out prizes every week to act as incentive to the Nanoers by the way and its good stuff. But I think if I were to guesstimate my word count from yesterday would be closer to 3k than 2k and that was me writing with a migraine. My plan is to finish the 50k words hopefully by the middle of the month and get it typed(1st edit) by the end of November, If I get this done then I will be a true winner.

Don't forget if you have not entered my not 100 or 150 followers book giveaway there is still time, all you have to do is leave a comment telling me what genre you like to read and if you are one of my winners, I will have a book in that genre shipped to you from the book depository.

Invite your like-minded friends to join in this giveaway, the more the merrier and who knows maybe every referree will get a chance to win a chocolate package (please let me know if you have tweeted, blogged or facebooked abt this giveaway, I would make a button but IDK how)
Enjoy these pictures and have a lovely day.

  2. Glad that the PLR cut was not as bad as feared.

Just left a late comment on yesterday's post; I'm playing catch-up.

I'm not posting again until tomorrow, so hope it won't be too late to mention your great giveaway then.

Good luck with NaNo. Have a happy husband homecoming tomorrow!

  5. Good luck with NaNo Joanna! Wow, you are doing it longhand? You are hard-core.

I agree with Creepy Query Girl, you can take pen and paper anywhere but my thoughts go so fast! I'm doing the longhand thing right now so I just try to keep up.

  7. I can't write longhand ... my brain moves WAY faster than my writing. I can barely keep up when I type! LOL...

Best of luck anyway -- but how are you going to get your NaNo badge if you can't upload a manuscript for them to count? :::worries:::

  8. Lovely lovely photos! More please! Shame about the word count issues... but the important thing is that you're doing it, right? Enjoy and have fun - and happy writing!

  11. Beautiful pics.
Pen and paper? My hand aches at the thought. I can't imagine the days of type writers, let along actual script. I salute you with my tension free hand. :)
NaNo... I'm hosting my students and supporting them so I'm writing YA for the month. But I'm also really trying to finish and fine tune my WIP. Eric Trant gave me permission to fail at NaNo, so I might. Blame him.

  12. I'd love to be able to write pen and paper, but my wrists don't work that way.

I think it's totally legit to add in an estimated word count as you go. The intention is what matters, and if you're as close as you can get it to your actual word count, then who suffers from that?

  13. Good luck with NaNo! Sounds like you are a very fast writer so all the best with your writing (and re-typing).

  14. Long hand? Blimey. I'm in bed writing today but I've reached 6000 words so I'm chuffed, but there's no-way be finished by mid month like you... You are awesome.
