Ze First Gift Blog Hop

Let me deviate from the norm and tell you this gift is not from the hubs. You see, I get crushes a lot and for my own peace of mind I try to limit them to celebrities.
In my own defense this crush looked like a celeb, I tell you he was drop dead gorgeous, long, wavy chestnut hair that fell just below his nape, 6'4, abs to die for, a gorgeous tattoo(I saw it in the gym), he had a lean build and his eyes shifted constantly between brown and green.
Classic Hershey's Kiss candy in silver foil. Anyways that said I never act on a crush because i know its a crush, I just play with fire while the crush is on, so anyways on my birthday he came over to my office and told me to close my eyes and hold out my hand, i did and he dropped a hershey kiss in my palm.
A hershey kiss is a novelty for me, so I kept it in my purse till further notice and beamed all day.
Crush Status: Got over it after my friends begged me to open my eyes, besides his ex was giving me the evils.
This blogfest has been brought to you courtesy of Liz Fichera and the Mojito Literary Society if you want to join in and meet fellow bloggers like you hop here. it runs till Nov 21st :-)

  1. And here I was thinking this only happened to me!

We must start a wives club for this sort of thing.

  2. You had a crush on Fabio?!

And one who understands that the fastest way to a girl's heart is with chocolate! I'd have had a crush on him too!

Thanks for sharing your story and for joining the Blog Hop! xo

  3. There's a bit of the naughty in you. ;-)

  4. Oh come on! Fabio goes to your GYM and brings chocolate to your OFFICE? Throw in the evil-ex intrigue, and you don't need to write fiction. Just tell about your life!

    Thanks for sharing your story.

  7. Hi,

Oh my, fantasies and crushes can do wonders for the soul - that's why I'm reluctant to change my "hunk of the month"! ;)

    Cute pressy BTW.

  8. Ooh I like the sound of that, it would make the beginnings of a great story. I imagined that you might keep it so long that it went stale *or that when you opened it in fact there was something completely different inside and it changed how you thought about said 'crush' afterwards. Great piece :O)

  9. I wish my crushes would deliver me Hershey's Kisses.

  10. He sounds gorgeous. I laughed when you said your friends told you to open your eyes because I wouldn't think opening your eyes would work in a case like this. I love sweet impulsive little gifts.

  11. Hershey Kisses don't last very long in our house. They disappear quickly. No such thing as saving them. Thanks for stopping by Karen's blog and saying hi. Great to meet you.

  12. Having never heard of a Hershey Kiss before, am I missing out on something?! Can you even get them in the UK?
Anyway, I digress. Enjoyed your story ... but are you sure you weren't having a delicious dream?! :P

  13. He gave you chocolate? That's my sort of crush.

I would love, love, love a Hershey Kiss - just because they sound so wonderful - but I don't think we can get them here in the UK. Boo hiss. Thank goodness we have Hotel Chocolat and Thorntons...

  14. A hershey's kiss does sound romantic, but it does not hold a candle to The deliciousness that is Thorntons or Hotel Chocolat, oh great now i have a craving.

  15. Oooh, I love Thornton's praline chocolates.

Who the hell am I kidding - I love all kinds of chocolate, especially in the hands of gorgeous men!

  16. Oh, shoot. Now you had to bring up chocolate. To the cupboard for emergency stash...Thanks for sharing! :)

  17. You definitely scored a good one Joanna! I'm with Quinn - bring on the admirers bearing Hershey's Kisses. They are just so cute (the chocolates, not the men...well, maybe them too). Yuuummm...

  18. Seriously, I think Mr. Crush would make me completely forget the chocolate! LOL I can find chocolate on my own, but somebody yummy like him. . .not so easy!

  19. THAT is the cutest story ever! No guy should be allowed to be that good looking AND sweet.

  20. You are bad Joanna ..... I didn't know you are such a flirt.... How does the hubby handle this part of your personality?

  21. And you got chocolate out of it! That's what I call a silver lining.

    ReplyDelete
  22. Ha ha Michael the right word to use will be la coquine. The hubs thinks I am slightly crazy and just chalks it down to my eccentricities, he knows he has nothing to be jealous of.

  23. What fun!!!! I'll have to stop by!

  24. Hershey's Kiss! Yumm!

But you're right - Hotel Chocolat rules. I was just in there the other days and oooooh, their hot chocolate...

  25. Ever time I hear the name Fabio, I remember that brave bird who once crashed headlong into his face while he was on a roller coaster, and bloodied him.

If a bird has to die, what a noble way to do it.

  26. A hot man giving me chocolate = heaven. I just watched the movie Chocolat. Have you seen it? In the movie, a woman provides the chocolate, but it stars my biggest crush of all times, Mr. Depp, and it's a sweet movie.

  27. Nice. Crushes are really good for us. They make us forget about laundry and cleaning the bathroom and think about putting on lipstick and batting our eyelashes for a change. I think they are especially good if they bring you chocolate! Great story!

I'd love to hear what you have to say, so go on & make my day
