The Writing Single Mother

Okay so have you noticed how most writers are happily married? especially to very supportive husbands who buy them nooks and tons of books and makes sure they have time to write.
Yeah I fall in this category but for a month am forced to switch sides as the husband is away for a month and I now feel like a single mother in a long distance relationship.
I never realized just how much I rely on the husband till I found myself video chatting almost in tears because the child and I were both frustrated and I have not been able to write a word since he left.
This post is a shout out to those amazing husbands and the strong and beautiful single mothers who go it alone and still find the strength to write, I honestly don't know how you do it.

I hope this post gets me enough brownie points for an IPad at xmas, but really I just wanted to appreciate the Husbands and Single writerly Mums You are amazing.

  3. I applaud the single mother writers out there. They want to do something that eats at them and do it knowing there's a lot of hard work involved and maybe not a lot of money.

  6. Some people seem to manage to make a 24 hour day into a 42 hour day - I am still trying to learn the art!

  7. So true! My husband has become the hub of household duties and child play! The kids rely on him to keep the fun going:)

Oh, how I love that man.

  8. Single mothers’ rock! They don't get enough high fives or pats on the back.

I envy women with supportive husbands, who carve out nooks for their writing wives. Mine feels it is competition.
